Jerry "Gerald" Downing Riggins

Jerry (Gerald) Downing Riggins, at age 77, resident of Jacksonville FL, passed away on February 17, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. Jerry was born in Waycross, GA on August 23, 1942.  He was married to Rhonda (Peace) for 43 years. Jerry was a local business owner of Ability Roofing Inc. for 40 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, old western movies and an avid Nascar fan, of course Dale Earnhardt was #1.  His most favorite moments were spending time with his family and especially all the grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by spouse, Rhonda; they raised 9 children, Lori (Brian) Dyal, Sherri (Andy) Jackson, Jerry Riggins Jr., Danny (Carol) Riggins, Cynthia (Dave) Gonzalez, Wendy Pickett and Jason Riggins. Blessed to enjoy 20 grandkids and 30 great-grandkids. Jerry is survived by sisters Judy Murrell of Waycross Ga. and Cheryl Ann Willis of Jacksonville Fl.

Jerry is preceded in death by children, Charles Gene Lewis and Jimmie Lee Riggins.

A celebration of life will be held at Oceanway Assembly of God Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 6 ^th .  The family welcomes you to come and join them.
