Janet Minton Deloach

June 17, 1949 — July 26, 2021

Janet Minton DeLoach, age 72, Jacksonville, Florida, went home to the Lord on Monday, July 26, 2021. Janet attended Englewood High School and then graduated from Terry Parker in 1967. She married William “Billy” DeLoach in 1968, they were together for 53 years. Janet had a long career in the home mortgage industry and then retired from Bank of America in 2014.  Janet was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, Mimi, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and volunteered in the front office. She loved to shop, fish, play cards, go to the beach, and spend time with her family. She was a 1 st Vice President of the Southside Woman’s Club and was a member for the past 10 years. Janet is survived by her husband, Billy, her daughter Rebecca, and son Billy (Arica); 2 brothers Kelly Minton (Marsha) and Steven Minton (Sarah); 4 grandchildren: Alec, Aspen, Weston and Canyon; cousins, many loving nieces and nephews, friends, and her very best friend, Cathy Stringer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alvera Minton.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, August 28 at 11 AM, 7801 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211, The Rev. Lisa Meirow officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Five STAR Veterans Center, 40 Acme Street, Jacksonville, FL 32211.
