James Krahn

James Krahn, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. He was born on December 17, 1951, in Highland Park, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Krahn; children, Emily (Jeff) Pratt, and Karl Krahn; granddaughter, Parker Pratt; loving sisters, Cathy Morley and Ann (Jula) Fender and their families.

Jim graduated from Dearborn High school in 1971. During this time, he was very active with his musical endeavors. He played guitar and sang both at school (Sing Out Dearborn) and at home with friends.

Over the years, Jim’s career took him multiple locations, but the most important stop was Cincinnati where he met his wife Deborah. Jim and Deborah made a few more stops but ultimately settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where they raised a family and made countless friends over the past 40 years.

Jim lived his life to the fullest and pursued many activities along the way. Whether it be riding motorcycles or spending time at the Masonic lodge, Jim took each activity as an opportunity for him to meet new people. Jim, however, did not need these activities to make friends. He was a man who never met a stranger. Some of his best friends, in fact, came through chance encounters that lead to close bonds. Jim just had that way about him and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service will be held at Solomon Lodge, 25 East 1 ^st Street, Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends.
