Ian Thomas Aldrich, 43, of Gainesville, FL passed away on March 10, 2025. Ian was born on October 13, 1981, in Fairbanks, AK to David Richard Aldrich and Barbara Ann Aldrich. Ian attended Santa Fe Community College, where he majored in Videography. He was previously employed at Volkswagen of Gainesville, Florida.
Ian enjoyed BMX, mountain biking, skateboarding, wrestling, and disco golf. He also loved anything to do with Halloween.
Ian touched the lives of countless individuals in the community with his generosity and huge heart. Through his TILT (Trust In Local Talent) organization Ian helped identify and broadcast unwavering support for local talent.
He will be best remembered as a loving and caring person who would go out of his way for any and everyone.
Ian left this earth way too early and is survived by his parents, David and Barbara Aldrich; his grandmother, Signe Aldrich; his wife, Julia Mauk-Aldrich; and his stepson, Nicholas Kirkland Jr.
A celebration of Ian’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at High Springs BMX Track located at:
19449 NW 238th St.
High Springs, FL 32643
Time will be announced as soon as it is available.
Ian’s warmth, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to High Springs BMX Track in order to honor Ian’s memory and Ian’s motto of “Stay Tilted and Never Give Up!”
