Horst Albrecht

Horst Albrecht, 87, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019. He was born September 8, 1931 to Walter and Else in Berlin, Germany.

Horst is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Ina, Freia, Sonja and Taylor; sister, Ingrid (Manfred); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was retired from Volkswagen, where his lifetime career took him around the world; culminating in Barcelona, Spain. He loved the outdoors and pursued his passions for cycling and tennis. He will be remembered by his children as a great mentor and coach.

A man of uncomplicated faith, Horst engaged in men’s Christian fellowship under The Shepherding of Spike Hogan at Chet’s Creek and Chuck Peterman at Creekside Christian.

A celebration of life will be held 11:30 am, Saturday, February, 9, 2019 at Dudley Farm Pavilion, Pine Street Jacksonville, FL. Please contact the family for detailed directions.
