Henry F. Dronzek

December 10, 1932 — January 9, 2021

Henry F. Dronzek of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on January 9, 2021 at the age of 88. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 10, 1932 to the late Walter Stephen and Lucy Dronzek.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Dronzek, as well as son, Christopher Lee. He was also the last survivor from brothers Walter Dronzek, John Dronzek and sister, Irene Kent.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly and grandsons, Nicholas and Aiden as well as many nieces and nephews.

He enlisted at the age of 17 in the US Navy, and he worked through the ranks, attended Officer candidate school, and eventually retired in 1973 as a lieutenant commander. He spent the last ten years of employment working as a purchasing agent and truck broker for Skinners Wholesale Nursery before retiring for the second and final time. He spent his later years traveling the world with His wife.

Henry was a member of Saint Paul’s Catholic church in Jacksonville Beach where his sang with the church choir. Henry loved to sing.

No funeral services will be held as Henry will have a navy burial at sea.  If you wish to honor Henry’s memory, donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project, Saint Jude, or the ASPCA.
