Grady Monroe McCoy, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 22, 2023. Originally from North Carolina, Grady was a World War II veteran, who received the Bronze Star Medal for his heroic action. He found a life long career as a businessman in international marketing and would come to live in several different foreign and  U.S. cities before retiring in Jacksonville, FL.

A man with varied interests and hobbies, Grady came to realize many of his dreams in life, such as becoming a pilot and an author.  He loved cats and all animals, poetry, and walks in the park. His sense of humor, wisdom and adventurous spirit will live forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife Polly, his sister, his children and grandchildren. Rest in peace.

There will be a committal service at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023.
