Giovanni “Gio” Morales, 61, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones, on January 27, 2023.
Giovanni, born November 25, 1961, will be remembered for his love of life. He was vibrant and filled the room with his presence and infectious personality. He enjoyed every moment of life and inspired others to do the same. Giovanni embraced his daily adventures and included family and friends to share it with him. His many adventures included being on his boat and fishing, going to the beach, and travelling with his wife. He would often video-chat his family and close friends to immerse them in his various excursions. Giovanni loved the New York Yankees and the Florida State University Seminoles. However, he was most known for being a diehard fan of the Jaguars, never missing a game.
He was predeceased by his sister, Maritza and mother, Carmen. He is survived by his loving wife that he adored, Vicki Morales, Vicki’s children Dana and Grant, daughter Patricia, sister Carmen, brother Leo, and many dear friends and family.
Donations may be made in his memory to March to Get Screened (MTGS), under team name “Giovanni’s Crew Wears Blue”. MTGS promotes awareness of colorectal cancer, screenings, financial assistance, and educational lectures. The March to Get Screened 5K & 1 mile Fun Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Giovanni will be truly missed. A celebration of Giovanni’s life will take place in the upcoming months. More information will be provided once a date is set.
