Gerald B. "Jerry" Sauls, Sr

July 11, 1944 — February 13, 2023

Gerald B Sauls (Jerry)

Born: July 11,1944 to Margie and OV Sauls

One of six siblings, Vernon Sauls, Shirl Greene, Dorothy Grissom, June Hale, and Brenda Crutcher.

Jerry is the fourth sibling to succumb to cancer.  Jerry had two children from his marriage to his high school sweetheart Stephanie Boynton, Bert Sauls and Rhonda Reese.  He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School where he was an outstanding athlete, a pitcher and outfielder on the baseball team and an All City tight end on the football team.  He went on to have an exemplary career with Sea Board Coastline, later to become CSX Railroad.  He was instrumental in the development of their technology department.  He often traveled the country to implement and instruct others on systems he helped develop.  He was highly intelligent, which enabled him to seek other interests such as his love for investing.  He later created an investment club to introduce family members and friends to investing.  He called it “The Bull Riders”.  He truly enjoyed helping others understand ways to invest, with success, in the stock market.  But the best way to describe Jerry Sauls is as an “Oil Painter”.  His hundreds of original painting were brought to life through his many travels and ultimate canvas of realism for art lovers to enjoy for centuries.

Jerry was a private man but for those who were fortunate enough to get to know him, he will leave a lasting impression on their lives.  Jerry loved God, family, country and friends.  To say he lived an interesting life would be an understatement,  rest in Peace Jerry, rest in Peace… Dad

Love Always, Bert and Rhonda
