Geneva June Anderson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on May 19 th , 2021 surrounded by her children.
She was born to James Russell Moore and Dixie Moore on July 4 th , 1930. June spent the beginning of her life in Nashville, Tennessee where she raised her 3 daughters Vickie, Angie, and Judy. In 1965, she moved to Jacksonville Florida with her husband George Anderson, their two children Linda and George Lee followed by Teresa in 1968. They settled in Jacksonville, started an automotive business, and bought a home. June managed the business alongside her husband for many years. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 56 years before George Sr. passed away in 2015.
June loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for caring for those around her including her family, the elderly, and children. In her twilight years, she enjoyed trips to Wal-Mart, consignment stores, lunches with her granddaughters, family get-togethers, Survivor and of course, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Anyone who spent time with her felt special in her presence. She was kind, loving, and tenacious in anything she did in life. Her family will miss her greatly.
The family will celebrate her life on May 30 th at 1pm. The family will remember her in her home where many family gatherings took place.
