Gail Griffin Jones

Gail Griffin Jones passed on 9/22/18.

She is survived by her children Rosemary, Bernie, and Michael (Joyce), her grandchildren Kyle, Lexi and Curtis and her great grandchildren Courtney, Ayden, Mikayla and Zoey.  She is also survived by her brother, Bob and many nephews and nieces.  She was born in Miami, Florida on 9/22/1934.

Gail was a long time resident of Jacksonville where she raised her children.  She was an advocate for women’s rights.  She was a member of the National Organization of Women Jacksonville Chapter and was one of the original founders of Hubbard House, Rape Crisis Center and Suicide Hotline. Gail marched in our nation’s capital for equal rights in the 70s.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, October 5 ^th 2018, 11:00 a.m.  at Naugle Funeral Home,   1203 Hendricks Ave,  Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
