Freddie T. Green, born September 14, 1947 in Baldwyn , Mississippi. Freddie went home to be with the Lord peacefully on December 9, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. Freddie loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he knew he was saved and was ready to meet Him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Green and Lela Bishop Green, and sister, Rhonda Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Dorminey Green, children, Kim (Jeff), Monica, Christi (Jed), and Leah. Grandchildren Brittany (Jon), David (Kayla), Shanda (Chris), Tish, Robert, Jordan, Cameron, Caden, Chloe, Jackson, Brielle, and Penelope (aka Penelli), along with nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister-in-law, Beverly (Mike) Dorminey, and brother-in-law, David Dorminey; nieces and nephews.
Freddie worked as a Tool and Die maker, and looked at it as a hobby he got paid for. Freddie retired from Bacardi Bottling Company in June, 2018 due to the beginning stages of Lewy Body Dementia.
Freddie was an avid motorcycle rider where he and wife enjoyed several trips. He also was a marathon runner, golfer, did martial arts, where he earned a brown belt. Freddie also loved NASCAR and was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan.
Freddie will be missed by so many and touched many lives with his kindness, his good sense of humor, and his generosity.
Freddie’s memorial service will be on December 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 10938 Hood Road South, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
