Floyd Levens was born on October 24, 1926, in Punta Gorda, FL to Floyd Levens Sr. and Mary Wethrigton.
He grew up on the island of Punta Gordy, and when he became an adult, he joined the Navy, serving his country for (3) years. Floyd’s love of fishing drew him back to the islands, where he ran a fish house with his dad and brother. He left his professional fishing days to become an insurance salesman for the National Standard life insurance company.
Upon retiring, he moved with his bride to Middleburg, Florida and spent his days enjoying life as a devoted husband, a loving father, church Elder, and true friend. With an amazing faith in his Creator, Floyd lived every moment in his life to tell people about the love of Jesus. He was confident in every Word found in the Bible and gave many Bible studies, changing the life of so many.
Floyd had an infectious laugh, sought out fun with those he loved, and took dominoes as serious as he did onions.
Floyd went to sleep in Jesus on January 8, 2025.
He is survived by his grandson, Shawn Levens; his great-grandchildren, Byron and Cullen; his sister, Francis Hansen and many friends who loved him as family. He has joined his parents; his beautiful wife, Ethel Levens; his son, Stan Levens; brothers, Corbet Levens and Earl Levens in sleep. He is waiting to hear “well done thou good and faithful servant.”
