Ernesto A Taylor, Sr.

Our beloved father, Ernesto A Taylor Sr. was called to the Presence of our Heavenly Father, on Sunday February 6, 2022, at the age of 87.

Born in Colon Republic of Panama he became a firefighter for the Panama Canal Zone at a young age.

After retiring he moved to Jacksonville Florida. Ernesto was an avid sportsman, who made a name from himself playing basketball in his home country, where he became known as the Golden Arm.

In his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with his family, and volunteering for his church as a Head Usher and bringing ice cream to the elderly at the nursing homes.

Ernesto was a simple, good, honest, humble man, with a simple wish:  For his children to be happy.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Virginia, daughter also Virginia, sons Ernesto Jr (Melissa) Alejandro (Mara) and 4 grandchildren, Celeste, Tony, Angela and Steven and great grandson Miguel.

He is also survived by six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Roberto.
