Eric S. Joseph

Eric was a lifelong resident of Niles, Ohio before moving to Saint Augustine in 2014.  Eric married his high school sweetheart Jill (Kistler) Joseph on April 15, 1989 (with whom he made his home).  Eric and Jill spent their lives enjoying their blessings received in their two daughters, Brooke Joseph of Columbus, OH and Jordan Joseph at home.

He was a 1987 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, received his Electronic Technology Degree from ETI Technical College, and was a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles. Eric was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He worked many years at Cattron, Inc. before becoming an RCL Manager for CSX Transportation in 2010.

Eric’s lifelong passions were his family, friends, and his ongoing quest to put smiles on the faces of those he cherished.  He enjoyed collecting antiques / coins, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Pittsburgh Steelers, cooking, music, singing, and most importantly… Eric loved life. Eric made a difference, we were all blessed to have him in our lives.  Eric dedicated his life to making a difference.  The time he spent with Jill, Brooke, Jordan, his family, and his friends were precious to him, the things that brought that unforgettable perfect smile on his face. Eric was loved and will be dearly missed, indeed.

Eric is survived by his one and only love, his beloved wife, Jill (Kistler) Joseph (formerly of Vienna, OH), two cherished daughters, Brooke Joseph and Jordan Joseph; three brothers Fred Joseph of Lucasville, Christopher (Ava) Joseph of Ashland, PA, and Anthony (Alicia) Joseph of Niles; a sister Robin (Donta) Gibson of Galt, CA; parents-in-law Thomas & Joyce Kistler of Vienna, OH; sisters in-law Jane (Robert) Davidson and Lynda (Donald) Feren; mother Jeanann Harrison, 8 nieces, 2 nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that all loved and will miss Eric dearly.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Fred E. Joseph, on 04/24/2016.

Family and friends may call 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 8, 2018, at Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio.

A Mass to celebrate the life of Eric will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Stephen Church with Father Murphy as celebrant.
