Edith Harcum Taylor

Edith (Edie) Harcum Taylor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went to the be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

Edie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, George Edward Taylor, son Christopher John Taylor of St. Augustine, FL, and her daughter, Beth Taylor Randall (Thayne) of Jacksonville, FL.  She is also survived by her brother, James T. Harcum (Marlene) of Ocala, FL.

Edie was preceded in death by her son, LCDR Keith E. Taylor, USN, on January 29, 2005.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Libby, Mamie, Gladys, and Jane.
She was a loving Mom-Mom to six grandchildren and three "bonus" grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Presbyterian Church, 2001 University Blvd., Jacksonville, FL, 32217.  We will be adhering to current COVID-19 restrictions, so masks and social distancing will be required.  If you are unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed via the church's website, lpcjax.org.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the care teams at Community Hospice -- 'Angels in Scrubs".  Their kindness and compassion were truly a Godsend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL  32257 ( www.communityhospice.com ).
