Douglas Wayne Hall

It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas W Hall, age 65 of Jacksonville, Florida and formally of Massena, NY share that he passed away on May 30, 2019 at home in the care of his wife and Vitas Healthcare.

Born to Harry M. Hall and Barbara Jeffery Hall on December 12, 1953 in Massena, NY.  Doug graduated from Massena Central Highschool and retired in 2008 after 32 and half years of service as a Tool and Die maker at General Motors Central Foundry Division Rooseveltown, NY.  Most recently Doug attended Beaches Vineyard Church.  He greatly enjoyed visiting the beach with his wife, spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren grow, reading scripture and playing games on his Ipad.  He will be remembered most for his big heart, his infectious sense of humor, continual faith and hope for healing, his love and devotion to his family and friends, along with his willingness to help others even when he wasn’t able.

He was preceded in death by his parents. survived by his loving family; wife, Robin of 16 years, daughter Megan Hall (Gary Forbes) of Syracuse, NY, stepdaughters Shantel (Patrick) Sullivan of Asheville, NC, Tiffany (Caleb) Cammock of Glenville, NY, Annalee Wood and fiancé Sam Duehring of Wake Forest, NC, and four grandchildren, Charlotte and Vivienne Sullivan and  Nigel and Nya Cammock.  Doug is also survived by his siblings Coleen (Dennis) Holden, Covington, LA, Alan (Sally) Hall, Wampsville, NY, Bonnie Miller (Debbie) Utica, NY.  Also survived by his stepfather Robert Drake, stepbrother Raymond Drake, his dear aunts Mary Jean Hall and Carolyn (Bob) Akland, uncles Ralph and Jim Jeffery along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Upon his and the family’s wishes there will be no calling hours.  Cremation services were provided by A Dignified Alternative-Hatcher Cremation.  A celebration of Doug’s life will be held in Massena, NY at a later date as coordinated by his family.
