Donna L. Helvey (Crews):

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Lynn Helvey, an extraordinary woman whose life was filled with faith and devotion to family. She departed this world on February 29, at the age of 64, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Donna was born on January 29, 1960, in St Louis, Mo., where she lived the majority of her life.  In 2011, she relocated to Jacksonville, Florida to help care for her parents, Barton and Estelle Crews, during each of their final stages of life.

At the heart of Donna's life was a deep devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elvin and Leona Crews (Barton), and maternal grandparents, Vester Sohn and Alverda Sohn (Bailey), her father, Elvin Barton Crews and her mother, Estelle Marie Crews (Sohn).

Donna is survived by her son, Steven Helvey, and daughter, Jennifer Creighton (Ahmmed) along with her grandchildren, Laila Helvey, Nevaeh Helvey, Liyah Harris, Estella Ayala and

Amir Creighton, and her great granddaughter, Xena Lungele.  Donna is also survived by her sisters, Sherry Snipes (Eddie) and Beverly Pool.

A Celebration of Life service for all family and friends will take place at the  Elks Lodge, St Clair, Mo on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
