Diane Hewitt Lorantos

Diane Hewitt Lorantos, 76, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021 at home in Jacksonville, Florida.

Diane was born in Tifton, Georgia on December 31, 1945. She was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Hewitt.

Diane is survived by her husband Jimmie Lorantos, her daughters Christa Lorantos Ritchie and Adrienne Lorantos, and her grandchildren Jacob Ritchie and Madison Ritchie.

Diane and Jimmie were married on September 10, 1966 and remained together until the day she passed.  Diane attended Terry Parker High School and studied at St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Jacksonville, where she became a Registered Nurse. She spent her entire career in healthcare, including working in the operating room at Memorial Hospital. Diane later studied Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University and worked in administration for hospitals in Northeast Florida. After retirement, Diane and Jimmie remained in Jacksonville.

A cancer survivor, Diane was a devoted and selfless wife, mother and grandmother who always put others before herself. She will be lovingly remembered and forever in our hearts.

A family celebration of Diane’s life will take place at a time and place not yet determined.
