Debra “Debi” Breed, 59, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on May 18th, 2024, at St. Vincent’s in Riverside. She was born on June 4th, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL to Howard Fussell Sr. and Susan Fussell.
Debi enjoyed playing pool and was a pretty good shot. She also loved being outside, whether it was tending to her plants, or laying out in the sun. She loved to put a smile on your face, and that was not hard to do while being in her presence. She was always laughing and just so fun to be around. She was a lover of scary movies, which were always on when you went to her house. And we can’t forget about her being a clean freak. Always saying her house was dirty when it was clearly spotless.
She is survived by her daughter April Horne of Live Oak, FL, daughter Nichole Scott of Jacksonville, FL, Son Nicholas Smith of Jacksonville, FL, three grandchildren Angelica Horne, Kaitlyn Horne & Ashton Smith, and one sibling Howard (Howie) Fussell Jr.
She was preceded in death by her mother Susan and her husband James Breed.
A gathering to celebrate the life of Debi Breed will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 137. If you would like to bring a covered dish, it would be greatly appreciated.
In gratitude for Post 137's generosity in allowing us to hold the service there, a donation will be made in honor of Debi. If you wish to contribute to this donation or need more information, please contact Nichole Scott or Nicholas Smith.
Rest in peace, Debi. Your presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.
