Deanna Margaret Evans, age 36 of St. Augustine, Florida passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, after fighting a courageous battle with Kidney Disease for the past few years.
Born to Vance and Debra Evans, Jr. on June 22, 1984 in Jacksonville, Florida. She started life with a battle to survive and remained hospitalized at Nemours Children’s ICU Unit until she was four months old. Later in life, she was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disorder (CMT), which is a form of Muscular Dystrophy. CMT caused continual and progressive pain and weakness in her hands, legs and feet.
She will be remembered as a fun loving, strong willed woman who did not know a stranger. She loved her family and many many friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Deanna is survived by her children, Matthew Mason Helm (15) and Madison Margaret Helm (14); her parents, Vance Q and Debra Evans, Jr.; and her brother, Vance Ian Evans.
Her maternal grandparents, Clyde & Josephine Whitehead of Dayton, Ohio, and her paternal grandparents, Vance & Dawn Evans, Sr. of St. Augustine, Florida, preceded her in death.
A celebration of Deanna’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Trout Creek Park Pavilion at 6795 Collier Road, St. Augustine, Florida (Orangedale area in St. Johns County). Reverend Joe Foster will officiate the service. Deanna was cremated and her wishes will be granted for distribution of her ashes.
