David John Gilpin

David John Gilpin, born in Philadelphia, PA, March 29, 1953, passed peacefully on May 22, 2024. He is survived by his wife Renee St. Amant, stepson Jeff Canfield and Jeff’s wife, Anahi Santiago. Dave spent his early years in Philadelphia, PA and Ocean City, NJ. Dave is most proud of his 30-year military career, honoring his country serving three tours in Vietnam. Later he served in Afghanistan and Germany. Dave’s adventurous spirit found him traveling across America and throughout Europe. He finally settled in Philadelphia where he met Renee. Dave enjoyed golf and fishing. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing holiday meals for his extended family namely his nieces and nephews, Tori, Stu, Chase, Caleb, Corey, Colin, Ed, Gina, Eddie and Juliana. Dave joined the Craft of Freemasonry at the Richman Solomon Masonic Lodge #3 in Philadelphia, Pa where he spent many years bagpiping, fundraising, and guiding new members. In 2011, Renee and Dave moved to Mandarin, Florida where Dave joined the Mandarin Lodge # 343, rising to Worshipful Master and became Noble of the Morocco Shrine. Dave took great pride in his accomplishments and the lifelong relationships he developed with his brothers. Memorial Service A memorial service for David Gilpin is scheduled for 10:00am on June 01, 2024, at Morocco Shriners. Masonic Honors and Military Honors will be rendered.
