March 19, 1977 - April 18, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daryl Alan Gleaton on 18 April 2024 at the age of 47 in Jacksonville, FL. Daryl was born in Millington, TN on 19 March 1977 to Lucy Taylor and Jerry Gleaton. He graduated from Ed White High School in 1995. Daryl was a loving son, a brother, a stepson, an uncle, a nephew, a grandson and an awesome friend to so many people. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, his loyalty to family and friends, and for enjoying life to its fullest. Daryl loved playing golf with his father, brother and friends, he enjoyed snow skiing, NASCAR, target shooting, AFI and Pitch Slap co-ed softball, JAGS football and hanging out with his friends.

Daryl is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Nora David of Jacksonville, FL, paternal grandmother Margie Grantham of Columbus, GA.

Daryl is survived by his mother Lucy Taylor, his father/stepmother Jerry and Kathy Gleaton, his brother/sister in law Brian and Kelly Gleaton, his nieces Taylor and Ashe Gleaton, his uncle Herman Nain, his maternal uncle Ray David, his paternal aunt/uncle Kiwani and Mark Cogar, Deborah Hodges Hoffman, Gail Bryant , his beloved dog Tank, 40+cousins and so many great friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone that sent condolence cards, thoughts and prayers, food, and moral support as we grieve his absence. We take great comfort in the memories we share of him and the impact he made in so many lives. Rest in peace until we see you again.
