Colin Bradley Luttrell, who passed away on June 12, 2024, in Orange Park, Florida, was a vibrant soul born on March 11, 2003, cherished deeply by his parents Troy Alan Luttrell and Frances Allene Collins-Luttrell. A graduate of Paxon School for Advanced Studies in 2021, Colin's passion for music shone through his skilled performances on brass instruments from middle school through high school.
His leadership in the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) was marked by candor, compassion, and unwavering confidence, and he attained one of the highest ranks in JROTC as Command Sergeant Major. Colin's Eagle Scout Award stood as a testament to his dedication and community spirit, notably in his heartfelt project for Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, dedicated to his best friend, William Kirkland.
Beyond these achievements, Colin's enthusiasm for automotive mastery was evident in his ASE certification and his beloved Mustang, where he indulged in exhilarating maneuvers while enjoying “donuts.” His mechanical prowess extended to motorcycles, drone piloting, and capturing moments through the lens of his 35mm camera. Colin's creativity flourished in constructing intricate Lego creations and crafting 3D projects that delighted his loved ones. He also greatly enjoyed his aquaria of fish and his lizard.
Colin also delighted in his work in food service, starting at Chick-Fil-A at age 16 and culminating in two successful years as a mixologist at LongHorn. He took pride in his work, whether crafting drinks or building relationships with colleagues and patrons alike.
Those who knew Colin will forever treasure his quick wit, infectious humor, and keen intellect. His sly smile, genuine kindness, and engaging conversations will be fondly remembered.
Colin is survived by his loving parents Troy and Frances, his sisters Ashley and Savannah, and a large extended family and friends who will continue to carry his spirit forward.
A memorial service honoring Colin's life will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, 8701 Argyle Forest Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32244, followed by a reception. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed via Zoom (Meeting ID: 871 3864 3635, Password: 819963).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at www.afsp.org, to honor Colin's memory and support others in need.
