Christopher W. Hopkins

Christopher Hopkins passed away on December 29th, 2023, at the age of 32. Though his life was brief, he made the most of every moment and left behind a legacy of love and accomplishment. Chris was intentional about living a Christian life, he graduated from Wesleyan Christian Academy and found joy and wonder in everything he did. He will be remembered as a good man who touched the lives of many.

Chris was born on May 28th, 1991, to William and Susie Hopkins. He grew up in a loving family and learned resilience and strength, which helped him succeed in NC State's challenging engineering program and later in his career. He was a proud member of the team at Fred Smith Company in Raleigh, NC, where he found a fulfilling career.

Chris enjoyed a loving and close relationship with his family, and he often went hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains with his parents, who live in Colorado. Throughout his life, he enjoyed traveling the world with his family and experiencing different cultures and foods. He had a broad range of interests, including Japanese culture, martial arts, Comicon, and stand-up comedy. These interests made him an interesting and happy person, and through them, he found good friends and the love of his life, Clara.

Chris is survived by his mother and father, Susie and Bill Hopkins, in Loveland, CO, his sister Stacy Shade and brother-in-law Jeff Shade in Atlanta, GA, his aunt Brenda Tipton in Hendersonville, NC, and his girlfriend Clara Tang in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A celebration of Chris's life and all the joy he found will be held at a later date, the details of which will be announced shortly.
