Christina "Tina" Martinez

Christina Martinez (aka Tina) of Orange Park, Florida passed away unexpectedly on December 12 ^th , 2019, one day before her 40 ^th birthday.  Christina was born to William and Susana Matthews on December 13 ^th , 1979 in Subic Bay Naval Station in the Philippines.  Like a typical navy family, the Matthews family moved frequently but ultimately settled in the Jacksonville area in 1993. Christina graduated from Clay High School in 1997.

Tina was known for her kind and warm heart, radiant smile, and playful personality. She loved cooking, arts and crafts, dancing, and singing.

Christina is survived by her only child, Donovan Evans; her mother and father, Susana and William Matthews, her 3 loving sisters Olivia Hoblit, Anna Schneider, and Angelina Jackson; 4 nephews Antonio Schneider, Joshua Yu, Phillip Hoblit Jr. and Cameron Jackson; and niece Leilah Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at River Christian Church, 5900 US-17 Fleming Island FL 32003 on Thursday December 19 ^th , at 1:00pm followed by a celebration.
