Chester S. Zmuda, 80, of Alliance, Ohio passed away peacefully December 21, 2018 at Community Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, FL.
He was born on May 11, 1938 in Buffalo, NY to the late Alfreda and Stanley Zmuda. He was the oldest of three children.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Zmuda of the home; children, Susan (Michael) Obi of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Zmuda of Orange Park, FL, Barbara (Brian) Stockli of Orange Park, FL; sisters, Patricia (James) Lang of Hernando Beach, FL and Gloria (Vinny) Tomasulo of Homosassa, FL; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was retired from American Steel Foundry where he was an electrician. Chet was involved in many organizations through the years; Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight 1978-1979 and 1981-1982, Dante Club, Eagles, The Fraternal Order of the Moose, and William Penn. Chet was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 9401 Staples Mill Drive, Jacksonville, FL with Reverend Thomas Cody officiating.
