Carrie L. Quimby, age 47 passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Monday April 22, 2024 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was born on January 8, 1977 in Berlin, Vermont to Bernard "Bernie" and Rosalee Bell.

Carrie was a 1995 graduate of Northfield Junior Senior High School before enlisting in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After serving in the United States Navy, Carrie became a Registered Respiratory Therapist where her love of caring for others was felt by many. She was an animal lover, loved nature's beauty, camping, spending time with friends and catching a sunset at one of her favorite places, Kingsley Lake.

She touched the lives of many with such a positive light and all who knew her felt her love of life. Her beautiful smile could light up a room and her quick wit and comebacks would bring a smile and laughter to those around her. Carrie was a fighter until the end and although she may not physically be with us anymore her beautiful soul will forever be watching over those she loved.

Per Carrie's wishes, there will be no funeral service as she wanted a Celebration of Life for family and friends to come together in remembrance of her.  The details of the Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date and will take place in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

In lieu of flowers, it was Carrie's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of a charitable donation in her name to the Safe Animal Shelter located at 2913 County Road 220, Middleburg, Florida 32068- safeanimalshelter.com .
