Brent Wombolt

Brent Wombolt was born May 22, 1958 in Fort Rucker, Alabama to Edward and Grace Wombolt. Brent was one of two children, sister Brenda Bowers. Brent attended Troy University where he met his future wife of nearly 40 years, Elaine Wombolt. Brent and Elaine had two children: Zachary and Jacob. Brent and his family moved to Jacksonville Florida in 1997, where they truly found their “home”. With a job change taking Brent and Elaine to Virginia Beach in 2016, they fought hard to find their way back to Jacksonville to their family and home in 2018. Brent was a faithful weightlifter and Auburn Football fan – but his true loves will always be his wife and family. Following a battle and defeat of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Brent suddenly passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife Elaine, mother Grace, sons Zachary and Jacob, sister Brenda, niece Brooke and family, nephew Jeremy and family, and his three grandchildren Sean, Olivia and Cole.

Memorial Services will take place Friday, February 26, 2021 at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 2501 Loretta Rd, Jacksonville FL, 32223. Family visitation begins at 10am EST, with memorial service at 11am EST.
