Brenda Marie Geist

Brenda was born on June 22, 1955 to Robert Walter and Elizabeth Jane Hockenberry Geist at Fort Belvoir, VA. She travelled around the country as a child since her dad was in the Army. She retired from Civil Service as a Navy Contract Officer. Her career years were spent in Washington DC area and San Diego area. Brenda loved to travel.  She moved to St. Augustine, FL to continue enjoying her lifestyle of loving the outdoors activities of riding bikes, walking, and tennis. Unfortunately, soon after settling in Florida, cancer returned and she battled for five years until losing the fight with her sisters by her side, on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Geist who were married 46 years. She is survived by her sisters, Sandra (Jerry) Justice of Colorado and Debra (Clayton) Reynolds of California. Also her Aunt Dorothy M. Geist of Pennsylvania and cousins Kim (Bill) Minto of Pennsylvania and Randy (Cathy) Frye of Florida. A niece, Lindsay of Florida, and nephews, Aaron of Colorado and Benjamin and Gabriel of California. Also Great Nieces and Nephews Mariah, Kayla, Brandy, Jaxon, Joseph, Jacob, and Sage. Finally, her Great-Great Nieces and Nephews: Maddie, Josiah, and Aiden. Brenda requested no public services be held. She will be laid to rest in Butler, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to your favorite charity.
