Bradley T. Harkins

June 8, 1986 — January 31, 2025

Bradley T. Harkins, age 38, passed away on January 31, 2025, after living with rectal cancer for five years. Throughout his journey, Brad remained an inspiration to all who knew him. His unwavering positive attitude, strength, and determination were evident in every step he took, surpassing the expectations of both his doctors and loved ones. He never complained, and his resilience left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
Brad graduated from Mandarin High School in 2004. He received his Bachelors of Applied Science in Computer Systems, Networking and Telecommunications from Florida State College. He worked at Johnson and Johnson Vision for sixteen years.
A true lover of technology, Brad had a passion for computers, video games, and staying up-to-date with the latest innovations. He was an avid fan of Star Wars and science fiction. His favorite vacations were cruises and trips to Disney World. Brad loved visiting with family and was always up for a board game or card game.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Rusty Harkins, and both sets of his grandparents. Brad is survived by his devoted mother, Denise; his loving sister, Beth (Addison); and his cherished nephews, Myers and Griffin. He is also deeply missed by his uncles, aunts, and cousins.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Robert Zaiden and the staff at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as the compassionate  caretakers from Community Hospice, whose exceptional care provided Brad with comfort and dignity throughout his illness.
Please join us to celebrate Brad’s life on February 15th, 1:00-4:00 at Deercreek Country Club. We will share memories and stories about Brad at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brad’s favorite charity, V for Victory ( https://www.vforvictory.org/ ), a local nonprofit that supports families battling cancer.
