Beatrice Kay Bonk

Beatrice “Bea” Kay Bonk (Slutz), 79, passed away June 3, 2024, at Orange Park Hospital, after an extended illness.

Born in Canton Ohio, Bea grew up in East Sparta Ohio. She was a CNA for many years in Ohio and in Georgia, working with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, until she retired in 2017. She loved crocheting, playing Yahtzee and card games, casinos, spending time with her family and friends, and making and selling her homemade jelly. She was happy-go-lucky and made friends everywhere she went. She will be dearly missed.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents Hester Slutz (Paulus) & Bruce Slutz Sr, her brothers Bruce Slutz Jr (wife Josephine Slutz) & Norman Slutz, her sister Barbara Wagner (Slutz) (husband Louis Wagner), and 2 infant sisters.

She is survived by her son David Paul Richard Jr (wife Sue Ostrowski), her daughters Debra Kay Pappas (Richard) & Dina Lynn Crawford, her husband Martin Bonk, her brother Virgil Slutz (wife Nancy Slutz), her sister Shirley Warner (Slutz), grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.
