Alice Gibson

Alice Gibson, 96, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL with her daughters by her side.

Alice was born on April 30, 1928 to John and Louise Bush in Oceanport, NJ. She graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and was active in the Kappa Delta sorority.

Alice and her husband Stuart moved to south Florida in 1956, where they lived for 65 years and raised two children. Alice worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Human Resources Director at Plantation General Hospital and was a faithful member of Plantation United Methodist Church. In her free time, Alice loved to sit and enjoy reading a good book.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stuart.

She is survived by her daughters Nancy Gibson & Suzanne Salter, her granddaughter Kim Salter Graugnard, and her niece Wendy Bush Glover.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at Mandarin United Methodist Church in early 2025.
