William King Hatcher

William King Hatcher -80 of Jacksonville, FL was born in Birmingham, AL Sept. 17, 1930. Passed away October 27, 2010. Bill graduated from Landon High School and Georgia Tech. He was a Commissioned Officer of the Navy for 10 years.
He recently retired from the Board of Directors at Baptist Medical Center after 39 years of service. He was also an active supporter of the Baptist Health Foundation, The Wolfson Children's Hospital, The Jacksonville Community Foundation, Hospice, Bolles School, Jacksonville University and the Pickett & Hatcher Educational Fund in Columbus, GA.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne, his son James Hatcher (Julie), his daughter Anne H. Mathews (Harry), his grandson, Andrew Mathews, relatives and numerous friends whose lives he touched and made a difference in. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov 1 at 11:00 am at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Baptist Health Foundation or to Community Hospice of NE FL
