Willie Mae Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Willie Mae Tanner Montgomery born July 6, 1919, passed away on August 24, 2010. She was born in Callahan, but lived her adult life in Jacksonville. She had worked at W.T. Grant’s, and retired from J.C. Penney’s. She was predeceased by her husband, Coatsy Montgomery, her son Edwin, as well her sister Alice Jones and brother Johnny Tanner. She is survived by her two daughters Claudia (Billy) Johnson of Jacksonville and Vicky (Gerry) Schroeder of Roswell, GA and two sisters Evelyn Wiley and Eula Tanner as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her. A memorial service and reception will be held for her at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Kernan Boulevard Baptist Church, Pastor William Crook officiating. We invite you to come and dress comfortably. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Fort Caroline Gardens Assisted Living (9150 Fort Caroline Road, Jacksonville 32225) in gratitude for the loving care they gave her.
