Bernita L. Stasny

Bernita L Stasny (71) of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, August 9, 2010, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Born in 1939 in Erie County, Pennsylvania, she also lived in Ashtabula, Jefferson, and Elyria, Ohio; and Mechanicsville, Virginia. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, gramma, and friend to many. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James M. Stasny, daughters Barbara (William) Reilly and Amy Conner, four grandchildren; Ben Reilly (11), Payton Reilly (8), Alison Conner (9), and Bret Conner (6), one sister, Shirley (Ralph) Fassett of Ashtabula, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Marie [Onion] Ball, brothers Russell and Robert, and by two sisters, Alice Wetmore and Betty Duff.
