Ronald Jay Coleman

Ronald Jay Coleman, 50, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Ron passed away unexpectedly May 30, 2010. He was born August 20, 1959 in Hartford City, Indiana. He moved his family to Atlantic Beach, Florida while in the Navy in 1988 and made this his home. Ron was an Aviation Ordinance Chief Petty Office (Retired) stationed at Mayport Naval Base and he was currently employed as a civil servant at Mayport Naval Base.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. His "garage" was always open to family, friends and neighbors. He was a loyal, trusted friend with a wonderfully contagious laugh and smile. He was a good man with a genuine giving heart and a can do attitude.

Ron will be missed and forever loved by his high school sweetheart and wife of 32 years, Kelly; son, Ryan Jay; grandchildren: Allison, Ryan Jr., Aaron, Jordan and Preston; mother, Barbara Kreps; sister, Kathy Casterline; brother, Steve Coleman; and his extended family and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his father Thurman Coleman.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Ron at the American Legion #316 with full color guard on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.

Ron however, would want everyone not to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life and just "Let it Ride".
