Robert (Bob) Barrie, Jr., 58, of St. Marys, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on March 20, 1952 in St. Joseph, MO, to parents, Robert Barrie, Sr. and Carol Sanders Barrie. Mr. Barrie graduated from University of Miami in Miami, FL in 1976 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was Chief Engineer and Watch Captain for The Flint School from 1976 – 1981. He was the co-founder and CEO of Global Management Technologies and later the owner of True Bearing, LLC, an Internet marketing company. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Candy Barrie of St. Marys, GA; sister; Beth Barrie and her husband, Jim Byous of Palm City, FL; sister, Sandie Barrie Blackley and her husband, Bill Blackley of Elkin, NC; niece, Molly Blackley Jackson (husband, Ben Jackson) of Seattle, WA; nephew, Seth Barrie Blackley (wife, Brae R. Blackley) of Arlington, VA. A memorial celebration is being planned for a later date when friends and family from St. Marys and across the country can come together to honor Bob’s life.
