Donald J. Mooers

Donald J. Mooers died May 8, 2010 in Community Hospice of NE Florida at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. He was born in Flint, MI on September 23, 1920 to Elsie and Arthur Mooers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Doris Mooers; and two sons, James and Donald Mooers. He is survived by his son, Richard Mooers of Simi Valley, CA; one sister, Ann King of Maryland; 3 granddaughters: Ana Evans of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Mooers of Caldwell, ID, and Kelly Viavattine of California; 1 grandson, David; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Mooers served his country in WWII as a flight officer in the US Airforce. He will be deeply missed by his family, Ana his granddaughter and caregiver, and all his wonderful, caring neighbors and friends. Interment services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to your local area Humane Society.
