Retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Paul Douglas Beason won his battle against brain cancer and entered the gates of heaven on March 20, 2010. He was born April 15, 1953 in Summerville, GA. After his naval service he enjoyed a career as an independent driver. He lived life to the
fullest and never met a person or a motorcycle he didn't like.
His sense of humor and easy going spirit will be forever missed. He leaves behind a daughter, Christy and her husband Dr. Richard Bowles; granddaughters, Allison and Emily of Jacksonville; a brother, Don Beason and his wife Patricia of IL; as well as extended family and friends. Funeral services with full military honors will be held promptly at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 9th at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Memorial will follow the funeral at Hampton Inn & Suites, 4415 Southside Blvd in the St Johns room.
