Ellen M. Cassidy Bertoni

BERTONI - Ellen M. Bertoni of Jacksonville passed away on March 6, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She was 48. Born in 1962 to Robert P. and the late Phyllis M. Cassidy, she lived in Winter Park, Florida during her childhood. She graduated from William T. Sampson High School at the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1980. She attended college at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Ellen was a loving wife and mother and devoted friend. She had been a resident of Jacksonville since 1999. In addition to her mother, Ellen was preceded in death by her brother Mark. She is survived by her husband Gino, son Christopher, her father, brother David (Jan), several nieces and nephews, and her many friends. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 13th at 1:00 PM at San Marco Preservation Hall, 1652 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville.
