Mary Ann Merkel

Mary Ann Merkel, of Neptune Beach, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010, at age 66, after a long battle with liver cancer. She was born June 30, 1943 in Milan, IN and graduated from Miami University, Oxford, OH. She left behind her loving parents Robert and Bettye Rusche of Pensacola and children Cathy Merkel-Roddy (Michael) of Orlando, Caroline Merkel of Neptune Bch. and Matthew Merkel (Eileen) of Jax. Bch.. Throughout her career she worked for Bank of America, The Florida Times-Union and The Beaches Leader. She was a beloved daughter, mother and grand-mother (Ellie, Jessica, Melanie and Andrew). Friends and Family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, February 24th at 1:00 pm at St. Paul's By the Sea, 465 11the Avenue North, Jax. Bch., FL 32250.
