Kenneth E. States

Kenneth E. States, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Born on December 8, 1931 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of Elwood and Lillian States. Kenneth graduated from the Huntingdon High School and served in the Korean War in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution in Huntingdon, PA as a Corrections Food Service Instructor.

He is predeceased by his parents; his wife, Shirley; and son, Walter; as well as his sister, Jane Wakefield.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Connelly and her husband, Pat, of Orange Park, FL; three grandchildren: Adam States of Orange Park, Jessica States of Orange Park, and Kaleigh States of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Betty Schell of Huntingdon, PA and Sue and her husband, John Hamilton, of Mogadore, OH.

“Pap” was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be remembered for his sense of humor and love for his family.

His final resting place will be at the Saint Augustine Memorial Park Mausoleum in Saint Augustine, Florida.
