Edward A. Willis

Edward Allen Willis, 60, died Saturday, October 17, 2009, at the Dr. Gaston J. Acosta-Rua Center for Caring of Northeast Florida Community Hospice, following a long illness. Born in Flushing, New York, he was the son of the late Alfred Willis and Florence Masse Willis, Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Willis lived most of his life in Jacksonville where he was a master carpenter. Survivors include a grandson, Kanaan Wyatt, Jacksonville, sisters Cynthia Algrim, Jacksonville, and Donna Coghlan, Homer, Georgia, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, November 1, at The Pond behind his homeplace in Jacksonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice, Dr. Gaston J.
