Amy Barnes went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 20,2017 at Baptist Hospital after a long illness. Amy was born on November 19,1938 in Blackshear Georgia to Lewis and Evel (Dixon) Altman.
Amy graduated from Blackshear High School, X-ray Tech School. She interned at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. Amy was a loyal and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, sister, friend and a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church. She loved her family and especially her children, Kimberly and Pamela. Amy will be remembered for her strong faith with our Lord, graciousness and her unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, and is survived by her daughters Kimberly Davison (Jerry) daughter Pamela Kennedy (Aaron) and grandchildren Jerald W. Davison III (Megan) Amy Davison, Camryn Davison, Colton Kennedy and great grandson Jerald W. Davison IV (Brady) and her Best friend (cousin) Rosa Dixon Sale.
Amy's memorial services will be on Friday August 4,2017 at Fruit Cove Baptist Church 10 am visitation, 11 am funeral 1pm Graveside services at Jacksonville memorial Gardens. Funeral services provided by Fruit Cove Baptist Church and a Dignified Alternative Hatcher.
