Janine Lynn Walton, age 63, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away in the comfort of her home on June 1, 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Shirley (Williams) McCullough. She was a graduate of Ribault High School. She married Dennis “Wally” Walton in Jacksonville on June 2, 1984. Together they have four children.
Janine enjoyed Patron, karaoke, and the moments she spent with her family. She was a good southern cook with many of her dishes being requested for events, especially her potato salad. Some of her favorite times were spent at and with the members of the North Jacksonville Moose Lodge #2134/Chapter #1517. There will be a Moose Riders run in honor of Janine on July 15th, 2017.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Wally; sons, Daniel and Donald; daughters, Kim (David) Parker and Kelly; 8 grandchildren: Ashley Dukes, Lauryn Parker, Abigail Parker, Maryanne Walton, Travis Smith, Chloe Walton, Alexis Walton, and Jayden Strode; 1 great-granddaughter: Lanay Smalley; a sister, Tina Shedd (nephews Casey & Tony); and a brother, Bill (Stacy) McCullough (nieces Cori & Kayla).
Family, friends, and others whose lives Janine touched are invited to the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, from 10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 for a memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Janine’s honor to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
