Frank Wellford Mumby III, 90, of Jacksonville entered life eternal on Monday, May 15, surrounded by family, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Betty Mumby and by their three daughters: Pamela Mumby (Robert Lundquist) of Asheville, NC; Jackie Haynes (Woody Haynes) of Jacksonville; and Beth Mumby (Richard Kaufman) of Cooper City, FL; six grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Frank W. Mumby IV, and by his younger brother, Robert Corbin Mumby of Orlando. Frank was born in Jacksonville in 1926 to Frank W. Mumby, Jr. and Clara Corbin Mumby.
Frank graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville and from Jacksonville University with a BA in Business. He worked as a loan officer for Prudential for many years before taking a position with Atlantic Bank as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser, then moved to West Palm Beach. He retired to Jacksonville fifteen years ago.
He is remembered as a loving and devoted father and husband.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, May 19, at All Souls Anglican Church, 4042 Hartley Road, Jacksonville.
