Ora Neil Brown Mclendon, 104, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on April 15, 2017 at Consulate Health Care of Orange Park, and went home to be with our Lord and Savior.Ora was born in Macon, Georgia on January 13, 1913. Ora was married to Eddie Mclendon, Jr who predeceased her 1970. During their earlier years Eddie and Ora owned and operated "Good Eats Cafe" on Broadway in Macon,Georgia for twenty-five highly successful years. Ora was extremely active in church and community affairs. She was well known for her deliciuos cakes, pies, peanut brittle and other wonderful southern style foods.
Ora was endowed with the ability to create all kinds of needlework items from quilting, crocheting. and sewing. She was a true master in all these areas and avidly sort after by many people who witnessed her creations.She was always willing to take on what ever challenge was placed on her no matter how complicated. She was a skilled piano player and took comfort in playing for audiences.She really loved the Lord and never missed an opportunity to express her love for him to others,

She is survived by a son, Charles Mclendon of Jacksonville, his wife, Audrey, and daughter Glenda Brunsoin and her husband, Frank of St Petersburg, Florida; five grand kids, eight great grand kids and one great great grand kid,nieces,nephews, and a host of close friends.
