Lisa Marie Parker

June 3, 1978 — September 10, 2016

Lisa Marie Parker, 38, of St. Augustine, FL, was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, September 10, 2016, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Born in Jacksonville, FL on June 3, 1978, Lisa graduated Sumter County High School, Americus, GA and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Currently, Lisa worked for the Mayo Clinic, Community Hospice and S.A.F.E. Lisa especially enjoyed going to the beach, collecting sharks teeth, traveling, going to concerts, kayaking, spending time with family and kickboxing. However, her shining moments were those spent with her son, Colby Lee Grant, 15. He was the light of her life and proudest accomplishment. Lisa enjoyed watching Colby play baseball and football and traveling with his teams. Her sweet smile, kindness, helpfulness and loving spirit was evident to everyone she met; Heaven has a beautiful angel. She was an active member of Crosswater Community Church in Ponte Vedra, FL. Lisa is survived by her son, Colby; mother and stepfather, Lori Parker Williams and Jim Pimentel; father and stepmother, Al and Dot Parker; brother, Robert P. Parker; nephew, Brian Parker and niece, Emily Parker. She is also survived by her Granny, Donie Parker Nowlin; several uncles, aunts and numerous cousins. Lisa is predeceased in death by her Papa, Robert Parker and Nanny, Peggy Parker. The family would like to thank everyone at Mayo Clinic and Community Hospice for their loving care throughout Lisa s illness. A celebration service of her life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 2:00 PM, Crosswater Community Church, 211 Davis Park Road, Ponte Vedra, FL, with Dr. Jack Millwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Colby s College Fund (Lisa Parker) GoFundMe. A Dignified Alternative-Hatcher Cremations is handling the arrangements. - See more at:
