Mike “Bo” Bohannon of Jacksonville passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He was born August 24, 1954 to Elwood Bohannon, Jr. and Shirley Bohannon (McGrath). Mike was a longtime beach resident and attended Ribault Jr. High. He finished high school and then joined the Coast Guard. Bo sure loved to fish and always had his beloved dog, Elvis by his side. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity as well as his great sense of humor and infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood Bohannon Jr., Shirley Bohannon (McGrath), his brother Donald Bohannon as well as both of his maternal and fraternal grandparents. Mike is survived by his two sons, Donald & Mike Jr., their mother Faye Bohannon and his beloved dog, Elvis.
Mike is also survived by his sister, Paula Harley (Bohannon); his brother, Daniel Bohannon (Mary) along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Celebration of Life (potluck) will be held Saturday, April 2 @ 12 noon at The American Legion Post 129; 1151 4th Street South, Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
